II. The Role of Sacred Medicines

Certain plant medicines and natural compounds are revered as sacraments that facilitate access to the Divine Inner Connection. When used with reverence, intention, and in a safe, supportive environment, these sacraments can catalyze profound spiritual experiences, insights, and healing. The following are central to our practice:

  • Ayahuasca: Used in communal ceremonies, Ayahuasca facilitates introspection, emotional release, and ancestral wisdom connection. It bridges the spiritual realm for self-discovery and healing.

  • DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine): A powerful visionary tool providing access to mystical and interdimensional realms. DMT is used with respect to explore the depths of consciousness.

  • 5-MeO-DMT (5-Methoxy-N,N-Dimethyltryptamine): A potent entheogen inducing non-dual experiences and a sense of unity. Experienced practitioners guide its use, emphasizing safety and integration.

  • Mushrooms (Psilocybin): Valued for inducing altered states, mystical experiences, and connection with nature. Mushrooms enhance spiritual exploration and personal growth.

  • San Pedro (Echinopsis pachanoi): This sacred cactus is revered for its heart-opening properties, facilitating connection with the natural world, and ancestral wisdom. It is used in ceremonies for healing, guidance, and deepening spiritual understanding, and is seen as a bridge to ancient cultural practices.

  • Kambo:

III. Practices and Rituals

Our use of sacred medicines is within a framework of practices and rituals:

  • Ceremonies: Led by trained facilitators in safe, supportive environments. Ceremonies include prayer, meditation, music, and ingestion of sacred medicines.

  • Intention and Reverence: Deep respect and clear intentions for healing, growth, or spiritual exploration guide our use of these medicines.

  • Preparation and Integration: We emphasize preparation before ceremonies (dietary guidelines, meditation) and integration afterward (support circles).

  • Community and Connection: Ceremonies foster community and connection, amplifying the power of these medicines.

IV. Purpose and Values

The purpose of using sacred medicines:

  • Spiritual Growth: To deepen our connection to the Divine Inner Connection and explore consciousness.

  • Healing and Transformation: To facilitate emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing.

  • Personal Development: To promote self-discovery, self-love, and authenticity.

  • Community Building: To create a supportive community.

Our values:

  • Reverence: Approaching sacred medicines with deep respect.

  • Safety: Prioritizing the safety of all participants.

  • Integrity: Acting with honesty and transparency.

  • Compassion: Supporting each other.

V. Cultural Exchange

Cultural exchange is integral to our practice. We honor and learn from indigenous traditions and cultures that have long worked with these sacred medicines. By engaging in cultural exchange, we deepen our understanding of the medicines, their traditional uses, and the wisdom they carry. This exchange fosters respect, reciprocity, and a broader perspective on spirituality. The San Pedro cactus, in particular, provides a strong link to ancient Andean cultures, making it a key element in our cultural exchange initiatives.

VI. Spiritual Guidance Council

Our Spiritual Guidance Council (SGC) plays a crucial role in overseeing the spiritual aspects of our organization. The SGC:

  • Provides guidance on spiritual practices and ethical considerations.

  • Ensures alignment with our core spiritual principles.

  • Offers support and counsel to individuals and the community.

  • Advises on the integration of sacred medicines into our practices, including safe and responsible use.

  • Plays an integral role in any ceremonial uses of the sacred medicines.

  • Facilitates interfaith dialogue and collaboration.

VII. Legal and Ethical Considerations

We operate within the legal framework, seeking religious exemptions where necessary. We prioritize ethical sourcing, ecological sustainability, and informed consent. We recognize the potential risks and take all precautions to mitigate them.

Religious Freedom Restoration Act. It is a law that prohibits the federal government from substantially burdening a person's exercise of religion unless it has a compelling interest and uses the least restrictive means to achieve that interest. In the context of offering sacred medicines like Ayahuasca and Bufo Alvarius, RFRA can be invoked by religious organizations to seek exemptions from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), which prohibits the use of these substances due to their DMT and 5-MeO-DMT content.

When seeking to offer sacred medicines like Ayahuasca or Bufo Alvarius, religious organizations may pursue exemptions from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). This is because these substances contain DMT and 5-MeO-DMT, which are Schedule I controlled substances under U.S. federal law.

To obtain such exemptions, organizations typically rely on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). They petition the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), demonstrating that the substance is essential to their religious practice and outlining safety measures to prevent misuse.
